What's your typical turnaround time?
That depends on a few factors, such as the time of year or if I need to send pictures off to an editor for something like eyeglass glare removal. In the winter and spring, it's anywhere from one to two weeks. Throughout the summer and fall, expect more of a wait, two weeks-month.
Why don't you release sneak peeks?
It slows down the editing process.
I like clients to look at their photos before I post them.
It's too much pressure! My favorite photo isn't always your favorite photo. When you look at the entire collection together, one photo doesn't carry as much weight.
What happens if I am not happy with my album?
First of all, do not download your photos. If you download your photos, we have less room for negotiation because you already have the images. If you are not happy with your pictures, speak to me, and we'll come up with a solution.
Do I have to buy prints from Happy Mermaid Images?
No. Buying prints from my store is entirely optional.
Do I need a print release to make my copies of photos taken by Happy Mermaid Images?
Not usually, but just in case, here is a copy of my print release:
Lisa Lang, owner of Happy Mermaid Images, grants permission to share the print release and to reproduce images from this photo session taken by Happy Mermaid Images for personal use only. Happy Mermaid Images must do any and all editing or changing of the photos. The copyright of all images from the photo session remains with Happy Mermaid Images.
Where do you suggest making prints if I do not choose Happy Mermaid's online store?
Mpix.com has excellent paper and color quality.
For any specialty printing like a canvas, try Newmans. Speak to Tory Anderson. He always has excellent ideas for printing photos.
